SHERIFF SCOTT AND THE DEPUTIES

Sheriff Scott and the Deputies are writing the laws of modern acoustic music. Bluegrass with a bend, folk with a flash - a quartet that builds the barn and burns it down - a dynamic blast of high, low, and lonesome. Scott Simontacchi - singer-songwriter, photographer, hat-maker - paints a picture with words. Vivid stories of heartbreak, hope, and humor over traditional sounds taking unconventional routes to the center of a song. Jokingly brandishing a badge on a pick-up gig on Sunday afternoon at Nashville's infamous Browns Diner dubbed the term, 'Sheriff Scott.' Since that day in 2013 the band plays on. 

The bands true grit is revealed at their live performances. Sheriff Scott and the Deputies provide a listening experience that taps into the endless possibilities of string music when it puts the songs - and the soul - first.
