Mel, 13 years old, is a proud fifth generation Texan.  In tandem with his learning to walk, Mel began making up songs and banging away on his toy piano and guitar.  There was no doubt he had a keen interest in music.  As Mel grew up he continued down the music path, writing his own music and practicing everyday.  Today you can catch him playing gigs primarily around the state of Texas, from local bars and honky tonks to busking and farmers markets.
