Sheriff Scott and the Deputies are writing the laws of modern acoustic music. Bluegrass with a bend, folk with a flash - a quartet that builds the barn and burns it down - a dynamic blast of high, low, and lonesome. Scott Simontacchi - singer-songwriter, photographer, hat-maker - paints a picture with words. Vivid stories of heartbreak, hope, and humor over traditional sounds taking unconventional routes to the center of a song. Jokingly brandishing a badge on a pick-up gig on Sunday afternoon at Nashville's infamous Browns Diner dubbed the term, 'Sheriff Scott.'
