WRITER’S SHOWCASE & TOP SHELF TUESDAY- Featuring Mountainwalker

Aaron Berg (also known as stage name, Mountainwalker) is an American songwriter/producer, performer, author, and recording artist based in Nashville USA with roots in New York City and South Carolina.  His father has owned and operated the independent record store Horizon Records since 1975.

Originally, a bassist, Berg attended the jazz conservatory at the New School University in Greenwich Village, New York City (studying with Larry Grenadier, Cecil Bridgewater, Reggie Workman, Charles Tolliver, among others) before picking up a guitar and finding his voice as a songwriter and singer.  Prior to moving to Nashville, Berg became deeply engaged in Hip Hop music and culture, releasing a rotating yearly mixtape ( 'Public Works' ) and two self-produced albums ( 'American Rhapsody’ and 'Songs Of Eden' ) with DJ/producer Kulhed (former of which is currently scheduled for full 2024 reissue).

In addition to being a self-published author (Midnight Shining Sun-Audio Book coming 2020) and a self-taught painter, Berg has toured nationally and released multiple studio albums under his given name and as a freelance bassist for artists ranging from multi-platinum 90’s Rocker Edwin McCain to Bluegrass legend Peter Rowan to more recently rising Soul/R&B star, Alanna Royale, and critically acclaimed singer-songwriter, Wila Frank.  Berg’s music production company, Big X Music, has an official site with additional info on production resume, freelance bass resume, live tour dates, the Deep Stacks web series, cowrites, commissions, and more.

Also, every Tuesday, Tennessee Brew Works celebrates our extensive top shelf spirits collection by offering 1/2 off any spirit over $13. Enjoy our world renowned spirits such as Weller, Van Winkle, EH Taylor, and more, to compliment our fine craft beer and food offerings.
